My name is Nicholas Smith. I am a multifaceted professional who excels at creative and efficient solutions to problems, and through that, improves the team and company.

Welcome!

Allow me to take a moment to introduce myself in this video!

Now that we are more acquainted, allow me to give you some background and work history.

Marathon Petroleum

Working in the petrochemical field, I discovered new opportunities to learn about large scale production and explore more about chemistry, metallurgy, thermodynamics. I got the chance to work with large teams to develop new efficiency projects.

Anheuser-Busch

Working at one of the largest beer manufacturers allowed me to gain skills in inventory management, warehouse distribution, machinery repair, industrial tooling, and EH&S roles.

Work History AB
Fairfield Brewery, How We Brew It

SAP

Working at both Anheuser-Busch and Marathon allowed me to learn how to use SAP systems to create maintenance work orders, notifications, create master BOM’s, schedule plant work, and create and complete purchase orders.

Microsoft Visio

Diving into Visio at Marathon allowed me to create effective tools to use in our Walk The Line program. This was created to ensure products got from tank to vessel or process safely and efficiently. Using Visio, I created checklists, P&ID’s, and master line up lists.

HAZWOPER/
Confined Space

Both Anheuser-Busch and Marathon had an active Hazmat response team that I was trained and active on. I also volunteered to be on the confined space access and rescue team.

Excel

At Anheuser-Busch I created a safety improvement plan using excel and VBA to track and allow others to input via intranet any concerns for the plant, which was tracked via KPI sheets and acted upon daily.

CAD

With Anheuser-Busch, I was the lead CNC technician, milling parts, creating prototypes, and creating signage for the plant.

On my own as a hobby, I design parts and other things for myself and others in Fusion 360 and Blender to be 3D printed and injection molded.

Thank you for stopping by! I look forward to working together in the future!
